AppMagic studies 158 new mobile games that reached $1 million in IAP
The October analysis tracks qualifying 2026 releases through 17 October. It excludes 36 China-dominant titles because of local Android coverage limitations.
Within the selected cohort, puzzle games had a median time of 126 days to the first million dollars, and IP-based titles tended to reach the milestone faster. This does not mean an IP guarantees success: the sample already consists of games that crossed the revenue threshold. The findings are useful for comparing successful launch trajectories, but not for calculating the odds that any new mobile release will recover its development or acquisition costs.
