Newzoo forecasts the global games market will reach $213.9 billion in 2026

Newzoo expects game revenue to grow 6.1% in 2026, with mobile accounting for $121.1 billion and the Middle East and Africa posting the fastest regional growth.

Newzoo forecasts that global game revenue will reach $213.9 billion in 2026, up 6.1% year over year. Mobile remains the largest segment at $121.1 billion and is expected to grow 6.8%. Console revenue is forecast at $46.9 billion, while PC reaches $45.9 billion. The company also expects the player base to grow 4.4% to 3.70 billion people and the number of paying players to rise 4.7% to 1.65 billion. That implies a global player-to-payer conversion rate of 44.6%, while average annual revenue per paying player reaches $129.60. Asia-Pacific remains the largest market with 47% of revenue, followed by North America at 27% and Europe at 18%. The fastest percentage growth is expected in the Middle East and Africa at 10.3%, with Latin America next at 7.9%. The forecast is useful as a market baseline rather than a guarantee: platform growth, currency movements and major releases can still move the final result.
