Mobile game advertiser activity jumped 31% in the first half of 2026

SocialPeta's H1 2026 report tracked an average of 109,500 active mobile game advertisers per month and highlights faster creative production, localization and iteration powered by AI.

Mobile game advertising became markedly more crowded in the first half of 2026. SocialPeta's market report, produced with Playio and Funtap Games, tracked an average of about 109,500 active mobile game advertisers per month. That was 31.1% higher than a year earlier and 10.7% above the prior quarter. Roughly 13,500 new advertisers entered the market each month. The report argues that AI is changing creative operations more than the basic economics of user acquisition. Teams are using it for batch asset production, adapting a concept across visual styles, accelerating localization and creating more dynamic or interactive ads. The practical implication is not that every generated asset will perform, but that competitors can test more variations in less time. Creative velocity therefore raises the value of strong measurement, fast iteration and reliable first-party player signals. The report combines SocialPeta's advertising intelligence with Playio player behavior data and publishing experience from Funtap Games, so its conclusions should be read as a commercial market view rather than a neutral census of all mobile campaigns.
