Pixel Doors grows a recoup-first publishing slate where developers get paid first

Pixel Doors entered 2026 with a publishing model that delays its own revenue share until developers recoup, then added a series of indie signings across simulation, automation and retro action.

Pixel Doors launched with a developer-first commercial promise: the publisher does not take its share until the developer has recouped the agreed costs. The structure is intended to reduce the period in which a studio ships a game but sees no return while the publisher recovers its investment.

During 2026 the label expanded its slate with projects including Astro Burn, Aisle Survive, Botlings, The Golden Caravan, Evergreen Tavern, Starways: Heart of the Cosmos and Gently Packed. A fair-sounding waterfall does not replace careful contract review, but it gives developers a concrete alternative to the more common publisher-first recoup model and makes deal structure part of the label's positioning.
