Shoreline Games partners with Metis Creative to publish occult tactics game WANE
Seattle publisher Shoreline Games and Istanbul tabletop studio Metis Creative announced a publishing partnership for WANE, Metis first video game, revealed at PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct on 20 September 2026. The title is wishlisted on Steam with no release date.
Independent publisher Shoreline Games has signed Metis Creative to publish WANE, an industrial-noir occult turn-based tactics game and the tabletop studio first video game.
The partnership was announced on 20 September 2026 during PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct. WANE is listed on Steam for PC with no release date. Shoreline CEO Keith Kawamura said the publisher had already worked with the team and wanted to bring the project to players after seeing the game in development. Metis CEO Sarp Duyar said the studio prior work is award-winning tabletop RPGs, and that WANE is an attempt to move that narrative and systems craft into a new medium.
Commercially, the deal is a third-party publishing arrangement rather than a self-publish or platform-holder first-party title. Shoreline is an existing indie publisher; Metis is entering digital games after building its reputation in TTRPGs. A related Metis-linked team, Metaphor Games, previously partnered with Shoreline on the narrative RPG Celestial Return, which Kawamura remarks treat as prior working history rather than the same contract.
No platforms beyond PC/Steam, no commercial terms, and no submission window were disclosed. The announcement matters for the publishing channel because it is a verified new developer-publisher pairing with a named title and a named storefront, not a trailer-only consumer reveal.
