Unity and PvX open a route to performance-based user-acquisition financing
Eligible growth-stage games and consumer apps will be assessed by PvX before receiving funding. Approved developers also receive Unity Ads credit and support, with additional invoicing benefits considered individually.
Announced on 27 October, the partnership connects financing to the performance of acquired player cohorts. PvX handles underwriting and provides capital to applications that pass its assessment; Unity contributes its Vector advertising technology and developer ecosystem. Qualification is required, so the announcement is not a promise of funding to every Unity studio.
The programme is aimed at businesses ready to expand marketing rather than teams seeking a general development grant. Developers do not have to issue equity to participate. That does not establish the overall price of financing: the announcement does not publish rates, repayment terms, minimum campaign spending or a closing date. Applicants should obtain those details from PvX before making a commitment.
Successful games must participate in Unity’s Developer Data Framework. The accompanying Unity Ads credit and enhanced support are part of the programme, while favourable invoicing is a possible additional benefit rather than an automatic entitlement. The amount of advertising credit is not disclosed.
PvX reports more than $1.3 billion in cumulative UA-financing commitments across 17 markets. This is the platform’s historical total, not a new $1.3 billion fund reserved for the Unity partnership. No dedicated programme allocation or number of supported studios has been announced.
The official announcement links to PvX for further information. Its eligibility assessment is the next step for interested growth-stage developers; no public application deadline or guaranteed award is stated.
