Matiks raises $10 million for international expansion and game-creation tools
General Catalyst led the round, joined by Ronnie Screwvala and existing investors Info Edge Ventures, Tanglin Venture Partners and Untitled Ventures. The company plans to expand beyond its Indian user base.
The Bengaluru company announced the financing on 26 October. Founded in 2024, Matiks began with competitive mental arithmetic and now offers mathematics, memory, logic and puzzle formats, including head-to-head play, daily challenges and single-player games.
Its reported audience reached 2.2 million monthly users in September 2026, with more than 300,000 daily users. These are company-supplied engagement figures, not independently audited market estimates. The Times of India reports that users played 48 million games during September.
The new capital is intended for international distribution, new games and social experiences, and an AI-assisted creation engine through which users could build and publish brain games. The United States is the initial expansion focus, while the company reports early engagement in Japan and South Korea.
Dealroom’s account of the financing says Matiks has raised more than $13.5 million in total and employs 41 full-time staff. It also notes that the company has only recently begun testing subscriptions alongside in-game purchases. Audience growth therefore should not be treated as proof of a mature revenue model.
The creator initiative, Jelo, is described as experimental. Funding its expansion is a plan rather than a guarantee of adoption or a completed global launch. The disclosed transaction establishes the round and its participants; valuation, ownership percentages and a detailed spending allocation were not provided in the reviewed reporting.
