Entity raises $5.8 million for instant browser delivery of console-quality games

Irish startup Entity raised $5.8 million to build a WebGPU and WebAssembly platform that launches games through a browser link without downloads or installations.

Dublin-based Entity has raised €5 million, about $5.8 million, in seed funding for a browser platform designed to make console-quality games instantly playable across modern devices. Its technology uses WebGPU and WebAssembly to remove conventional download and installation steps.

The company plans to use the round to accelerate development ahead of a 2027 launch, with a catalogue spanning established PC and console games and original IP. Backers include ACT, Delta Partners, Elkstone, Enterprise Ireland and games-industry angels. If the platform delivers acceptable performance and commercial terms, it could create a new distribution route for studios outside traditional storefront installs.
