Magic Potion Games completes Series A after Imagine Island beta passes one million players
The Square Enix-backed studio completed a Series A as its child-focused social platform Imagine Island left beta with more than one million players. The round size was not disclosed.
Magic Potion Games has completed a Series A financing round after its Imagine Island platform attracted more than one million players in beta. Investors include Square Enix, 1AM Gaming, 1Up Ventures and Konvoy Ventures; the company did not disclose the size of the round.
Founded by veterans of Club Penguin, Disney Online, Electronic Arts and Epic Games, the studio is building a moderated social space for Gen Alpha with age-appropriate features and COPPA-focused privacy controls. The funding will support new gameplay, creator tools, community events and entertainment partnerships. The traction gives investors evidence of demand, but the long-term opportunity depends on safe operations and parent trust as much as player growth.
