Copa Fantasy finalises $750,000 seed round to expand across MENA

Saudi fantasy-sports platform Copa Fantasy is closing a $750,000 seed round for user acquisition, larger prizes and an expansion from four weekly contests to more than 20.

Copa Fantasy is finalising a $750,000 seed round to accelerate growth in Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region. The company has secured an anchor investor and several smaller participants, with the remaining commitments still being completed.

The platform plans to spend primarily on user acquisition, marketing and larger prizes while increasing weekly contests from roughly four to more than 20. It will also add leagues and a trivia product. This financing is separate from the $300,000 the company previously received through the Exel by Merak accelerator. Investors are backing a measured regional expansion after the team says it validated unit economics.
