We may translate this Privacy Policy into other languages for your convenience. Nevertheless, the English version governs your relationship with GDBAY, and any inconsistencies among the different versions will be resolved in favor of the English version.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
We may collect and store information about you in connection with your use of the Service, including any information you transmit to or through the Service. We use that information to provide the Service’s functionality, fulfill your requests, improve the Service’s quality, engage in research and analysis relating to the Service, personalize your experience, track usage of the Service, provide feedback to third parties (where applicable), display relevant advertising (if any), market the Service, provide customer support, message you, back up our systems, allow for disaster recovery, enhance the security of the Service, and comply with legal obligations. Even when we do not retain such information, it still must be transmitted to our servers initially and stored long enough to process.
Please also note:
- Account Information: If you create a GDBAY account (e.g., via social login), we may store and use the information you provide or authorize us to access during that process. This includes your name, email address, and may include business-related data such as your company name, role, and other professional details. You may also voluntarily provide additional information for your profile, such as your skills, experience, portfolio links, and other professional or personal details you choose to share. We may publicly display parts of your profile information (e.g., name, company, role) as part of your account profile within the Service. You can modify some of the information associated with your account through your account settings or by contacting us.
- Public Content & Community Interactions: Your contributions to public areas of the Service, such as posts, comments, likes, and shared content within the GDBAY Community Portal (except for private messages), are intended for public consumption and are therefore viewable by the public. Your public profile information may also be visible. Private messages exchanged between users are not publicly visible but may be accessed by GDBAY for purposes outlined in this policy (e.g., security, service improvement).
- GDBAY AI Agent Interactions: When you interact with the GDBAY AI Agent, we collect the queries you submit and the responses generated (“AI Interaction Data”). This data is used to provide you with the service, to improve the AI Agent’s performance and accuracy, for personalization, and for research and analysis to enhance our Service.
- Mentor Knowledge Base Contributions: If you are a GDBAY Mentor, we collect the information and content you provide for the Mentor Knowledge Base, including your professional details, expertise, and the specific knowledge shared. This information is used to power the AI Agent and will be attributed to you when displayed or referenced by the AI Agent. You can manage or request deletion of your contributed content as outlined in Section 4.
- Opportunities Pool: When you submit an opportunity (whether offering or seeking), we collect the content of that opportunity, including descriptions, requirements, and any associated details. This information is processed by our AI Agent to help refine the listing and for matchmaking purposes. When you initiate AI Matchmaking, your opportunity details are used to find relevant connections within the GDBAY ecosystem.
- Communications: When you sign up for an account or use certain features, you may opt to receive messages from other users, businesses (if applicable), and GDBAY. You can manage your communication preferences for promotional messages (like newsletters) via the unsubscribe link in such emails or by contacting [email protected]. Please note that you cannot opt out of receiving certain administrative, transactional, or legal messages from GDBAY. We may track your actions in response to messages (e.g., open rates). If you exchange messages with others through the Service, we may store them to process and deliver them, allow you to manage them, and we may review and disclose them in connection with investigations related to use of the Service, as well as our efforts to improve the Service.
- Transactions & GDBAY Coins: If you initiate a transaction through the Service, such as purchasing GDBAY Coins, our third-party payment processor, WayForPay (https://wayforpay.com/en), will collect and process your payment information (e.g., credit card details). GDBAY does not directly store your full payment card information. We do store a history of your orders and Coin transactions. This information is used to process your transactions, send communications about them, and for internal accounting and analysis.
- Activity & Technical Data: We may store information about your use of the Service, such as your search activity, the pages you view, the features you use, and the date and time of your visit. We also collect technical data that your computer or mobile device may provide, such as your browser type, device type, operating system, browser language, IP address, mobile carrier, unique device identifier, advertising identifier, approximate location, and referring URLs. We use this information for service provision, security, analytics, and platform improvement.
- Different Devices: You may access the Service through different devices. The information we collect and store through those different uses may be cross-referenced and combined.
Legal Basis for Processing (For EEA and Switzerland Residents):
Our legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described above will depend on the specific information concerned and the context in which we collect it. However, we will normally collect personal information from you only where we have your consent to do so, where we need the personal information to perform a contract with you (e.g., to provide the GDBAY services you request), or where the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your data protection interests or fundamental rights and freedoms (e.g., for platform security, analytics, service improvement, direct marketing of our services). In some cases, we may also have a legal obligation to collect personal information from you or may otherwise need the personal information to protect your vital interests or those of another person. If you have questions about or need further information concerning the legal basis on which we collect and use your personal information, please contact us.
